Use Internal Links to Improve Google Ranking

As bloggers, we are constantly searching for ways to improve our Google ranking.  This is a 1 to 10 rank that Google assigns websites based on several factors. One of those factors is the number of links to pages within your site or blog.

Daniel of Daily Blogging Tips  explains in his post, "10 Easy Ways to Improve Internal Linking on Your Blog" how using internal links within your blog can improve your Google page rank.

Internal linking is linking to your other blog pages within your own blog.  For example, when writing a new post, you can provide a link to a post written at an earlier date that provides further explanation on the topic.

Another way to add internal links is to add a popular posts section to your side bar linking to posts that readers have deemed to be most interesting or useful.  Other ways to increase your internal links is by adding a site map, footer links, adding a frequently asked questions page and creating a series of posts.  Each of these topics will be discussed in greater detail here on Blogging Hints in the coming days.

As we know and are still learning, there is a science behind getting to the top of  Google's search results.  As we travel of this blogging journey, we pick up these little tidbits along the way to hopefully get us that much closer to the top of Google.

  5. Josie,

I don't know if Link Within links will work as well. My guess would be that it's not the same. It's best to include links within the post and preferably within the first paragraph.
