Provide RSS Feeds and Email Updates

Providing RSS feeds and email updates keeps readers abreast of recent content.  Feedburner makes creating RSS feeds and email update links easy. 


Create Feed

  1. Visit Feedburner.com
  2. If you don't already have a Google account, create one at this time.  
  3. On Feedburner's main page, enter your blog address in the text box below the content that reads, "Burn a feed right this instant. Type your blog or feed address here:" and click "next".
  4. You will then be sent to a confirmation page where you will see your newly generated feed address.  
Look up RSS Feed Address
  1. To view your feed address, visit Feedburner.com and choose the feed title.
  2. Click on the top left "Edit Feed Details."
  3. You will then see "original feed" and "feed address". Either one of these address can be used as your RSS feed.

Create Feedburner Email Updates
  1. Visit Feedburner.com and log into your account
  2. Click on the feed title you want to create email updates for
  3. Click the top tab "Publicize."
  4. Click "Email Subscriptions."
  5. Copy and paste the code provided into your blog design.

    I LOVE the email updates from Feedburner. I used to send out a weekly newsletter but it was time consuming. Feedburner sends out updates daily automatically. If you have any questions, let me know.

  6. You may have to select your blogging platform (i.e., blogger, wordpress) before the code is displayed.
